The CHANGING WOMEN fellowship was created to encourage women of all ages to free themselves from unproductive relationships and ways of functioning, set appropriate boundaries, deal with and overcome issues from the past, and build a strong, trusting relationship with God. And in addition, enjoy the company of other women who are determined to change and live purposeful lives, as God intended! Bless the LORD!
The group is Christian-based and is designed for women age 25 - 70 and all other women who are READY for CHANGE!
The original Changing Women group was started in March 2009 in Philadelphia with 5 women who had just completed the "Change Your LIFE in 5 weeks" workshop taught by Sophia Avery, MA - Christian Therapist, based on the book "Changes that Heal" by Dr. Henry Cloud. The group grew at a steady pace from word of mouth and personal invitations from the members.
In September 2009, we extended invitations to other women in the Philadelphia and New Jersey areas via Meetup.com and our membership increased, significantly! We have been blessed to host Changing Women group meetings in Long Island, New York, Manhattan, and Chester, Pennsylvania. We continue to enjoy Changing Women meetup groups in Philadelphia, and look forward to what the Lord will do in 2012!
